 Research indicates that effective neighborhood-based reentry partnerships provide the services for successful reintegration of prisoners returning home.
Out4Life conference participants will be educated on the needs and services that ex-prisoners require in order to become a contributing member of the community. While at the conference, attendees will be encouraged to join a coalition in their area. This expands the national community of service providers available to ex-prisoners.
Following the conference, local coalition members will meet to develop pre-release and post-release programs that help ex-prisoners gain employment, find housing, reintegrate with their families and achieve the goal of staying Out for Life.
